National Night Out
The Village of Ellsworth’s annual National Night Out crime prevention event will be held in the East End Park on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. On that evening over 38.1 million people in more than 16,520 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide will join forces to –
- heighten crime and drug prevention awareness,
- generate support and participation for local anti-crime efforts
- strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
This is the 33rd anniversary of National Night Out. Ellsworth Police Officers will host an evening of music, games, giveaways, displays, food and beverages, and a Dunk a Cop event!
Dunk A Cop
Who will be in the dunk tank is a surprise! However, you can earn chances to dunk 'em by donating new, unopened school supply items, which will be donated to the Ellsworth Community School District. One school supply item will get you 2 chances to dunk a cop.
