Monthly Member Meeting: Tapping into your Human Capital

For our August member meeting we'll be welcoming Katherine Fossler, Small Business Consultant with the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Small Business Development Center. As a consultant and former small business owner, Katherine understands the importance of human capital and the direct impact employees and workforce issues can have on an organization's success, particularly as it relates to hiring, training and then retaining your best workers. We know these are issues you face in your business daily and we know you'll find her insight valuable.

In addition we've asked Katherine to dedicate a portion of her talk to the new FLSA overtime rule. Compliance with new updates to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) changes that will reclassify a significant portion of employees eligible for overtime pay take effect on December 1. Katherine will offer an overview of the rules and answer any lingering questions you have.
