Celebrate Dairy Day!

June is Dairy Month and Flat Pennies Ice Cream and the Busy Fingers 4-H Club are taking the opportunity to host a Dairy Day event to promote the tradition of dairy and farming to area families.

A great family outing, activities include miniature train rides, cheese sampling, face painting, dairy trivia and a milk moo-stache photo opportunities, as well as prizes. Another highlight of the event is the petting zoo, which will feature several farm animals, including cows, horses, baby chicks and more. Children will have the opportunity to learn about each while getting up close with all the friendly critters.

The event is free, with a portion of Flat Pennies’ sales of root beer floats during the event donated to the Busy Fingers 4-H Club to support them in further recreation and community service projects.
