April Member Meeting: Behind the Scenes at Cheese Curd Fest

While it may seem like months away, our 15th Annual Cheese Curd Festival is fast approaching. The event will take place on Friday, June 24, and Saturday, June 25 and we know you’re going to be very excited about what our committee has planned...

We're putting the CURDS back into the Cheese Curd Festival! Our festival committee has some major changes planned for this year’s event and beyond. As the popularity of food festivals continues to grow, our goal is to attract larger regional crowds and maximize the daytrip market out of the Twin Cities. When you’re the “Cheese Curd Capital” and “cheese curd” is part of your festival name, you’ve set an expectation. Festival-goers want those white and squeaky morsels, and lots of them! 

We’re laying the groundwork for a bigger festival and tribute to our community’s designation as “Cheese Curd Capital”. Currently, discussions are taking place with the Wisconsin Department of Tourism to secure grant dollars to revitalize and rebrand our festival for 2017! The exposure such an annual event would offer our community is invaluable, leading to more tourism dollars funneled into our community and potentially new residents, too. It’s a long-term pro-business investment we know will pay off with dividends.
